On 23 April 2026 the FATF published the Mutual Evaluation report of the Italian system of prevention and contrast of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF).
In relation to the UIF, the report acknowledges the high quality of the operational analysis - effectively supporting the law enforcement authorities and the judicial authority in their activity - and of the strategic analysis performed by the Unit. It also contains positive considerations on the activities carried out by the UIF related to domestic and international cooperation, the controls and the implementation of international targeted financial sanctions.
