On the first of March 2019, the UIF and the 'Baffi Carefin Centre' of the Bocconi University hosted the 'Quantitative Methods and Fighting Economic Crime' Workshop in Milan.
This annual workshop, now in its fourth edition, is a valuable opportunity for a meeting of the worlds of research, the Authorities for the prevention and combating of economic crime, and the banking and financial sector.
The topics for discussion were studies and models on 1) corruption in public procurement and tax evasion; 2) monitoring anomalous flows from the private sector and the Authorities; and 3) organized crime's infiltration of businesses and the legal economy.
